SFBF | Joseph M Still Burn Centers

The Southeastern Firefighters' Burn Foundation was created in 1988 as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization to support burn patients and their families both during and after treatment of the trauma of a burn. The Foundation is affiliated with the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. The Burn Center is one of the world's leading burn treatment facilities.
Dr. Still believed that having the families involved in the patients' recovery was an integral part of the care that we provide at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center. As you can imagine, though it is necessary, it is difficult for families to leave their home and support system to travel, often long distances, to Augusta to stay with their injured family member. His vision was to provide a home away from home so that those family members could be close to their loved one.
Over the years the Southeastern Firefighters’ Burn Foundation has had the opportunity to grow and offer the families more services some of these include:
